Relaxed Woodland Summer Wedding at Two Woods Estate, West Sussex

If you’re planning your Big Day at Two Woods Estate in West Sussex, you’ll enjoy reading about this wedding!

Ellie and Steve got married at Two Woods Estate, which is a unique woodland setting in the heart of West Sussex. It truly is a place like no other – with its incredible, majestic and serene redwoods. If you have always dreamt of getting married in a woodland – this is your dream venue!

Ellie and Steve wanted to have a relaxed day with some classic and traditional elements. They did a lot of DIY, especially with their tablescapes and florals. I honestly was quite shocked to find out that it wasn’t professionally done, as it looked amazing. They did such a phenomenal job.

Morning Preparations

The venue features a beautiful and a very photogenic loft. It’s a stylish spacious room where you can get ready before you say “I do” and can also stay the night of the wedding.

The Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was a beautiful service outside in the heart of an awe inspiring, breathtaking redwood grove, accompanied by beautiful live piano music. You really don’t need to worry about decorating the area too much when your ceremony space looks like this! These striking redwoods wowed absolutely everyone. I cannot wait to photograph my next wedding there, so that I can experience this magic all over again!

The Wedding Reception

After the ceremony, the guests were enjoying drinks and canapes, while I was photographing the couple with their families and friends.

The wedding breakfast set up was another highlight – it was an explosion of beautiful colours. The cake complimented these colours perfectly. It looked like a work of art, and it was really delicious too!

After their wedding breakfast the couple had their first dance in the barn. It was a jaw dropping choreographed performance, which everyone absolutely loved.

Afterwards, everyone got outside to have a go at breaking open a homemade pinata – and it was such a hit.

Couple Portrait Photos

Ellie wore a stunning off – the - shoulder dress with beautiful sleeves. She also had a second dress that she changed into just before the couple’s first dance. Steve wore a classic 3 piece suit, and they looked really gorgeous together.

This couple were so much fun, and they were up for absolutely anything! Hollywood dips, lifting Ellie up in the air, spinning, dancing – you name it! It was such a joy photographing these two, and I had SO much fun with them!

Review

Ellie and Steve got in touch with me about a year before their wedding, saying that they were drawn to my candid photography style and wanted to find a photographer who would capture their day and their venue in the most special way.

Here is what the couple said afterwards:

“We just wanted to say thank you so much for everything on the day! You were a lot of fun to have as our photographer and made it so relaxed for us. Our photoshoot was one of my favourite parts of the day! The photos are absolutely stunningggg, way more beautiful than I had imagined!”

I know the venue really well, and can make the most of it. You are in very safe hands, and can just leave the photography part of the day to me, knowing you will get the most beautiful images.
